TechTechBoom.com is a new BETA (code word for not fully finished) website and is a subsidiary of Mario Armstrong Media, LLC. (http://www.MarioArmstrong.com) What’s the mission? Simple, it’s a place to help teens to connect, be inspired, supported and motivated to pursue STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) academics and careers! We need more young minds wanting to fill our tech pipeline of the future.

The vision for this site was Mario Armstrong’s and he wanted it to be a cool and very informative tech hangout for teens but instead of hiring adults to design it (boring and done already) he wanted to flip the model. So his company hired 11 high school students from different grades, backgrounds and tech interests and they created what you see today, that being the first STEM website and community built by teens for teens! The site offers a cool hangout place, solid STEM information and resources all centered around STEM.

We want to be the hub of all science, technology, engineering and math content, news, events, scholarships, programs, contests, internships, mentoring and more. If it’s STEM and it involves teens – it will be on this site – no more islands of STEM info.

From Hot tech news, contests, tech events, to chillin’, chattin’ playing games, to homework help, finding internships and cool tech mentors all while meeting new tech friends in the lounge all now happens in one central hub. No more trying to do your math or science homework, while trying to socialize on other sites while also flipping between 3 to 4 websites to find your summer internship or your search for college. By the time you are done you have 10 tabs open and you’re all over the place! Techtechboom.com has been created as the new STEM “hotness” – yeah we actually typed that word! There are way too many islands of STEM info out there from corporations to organizations to blogs and podcasts, well now you have the hub that brings all that STEM good stuff direct to you all while you are still chillin and chattin on line.

Oh and the content is also developed by you the teen; our news, polls, blogs and Tech reporters are all creating content for this site! And oh yeah, we have a few adult writers who have solid tech contacts at some of the hottest companies to Hollywood stars who have tech backgrounds but the majority of the content is by you for you!

Students: login to the lounge, join our community, create your profile, read, upload content and become very involved. Tell us what we need to add to make it better!

Parents: It’s okay go ahead and tell your kids that TechTechBoom.com is parent approved and they won’t get in trouble for being on the site—they could be getting mentoring or homework help or viewing a behind the scenes video of an awesome tech job while still chatting and chillin on line with friends.

Organizations: call us immediately 443-977-4690 – we want to make sure your STEM programs, awards ceremonies, news events, internships, scholarships and all other related info is made available to our members.

Companies: We got this far but NEED your help, more than ever to live up to the potential impact this site can have on our youth. We need advertisers, sponsors, financial supporters, angel investors, in-kind donations for contests and promotions (from your office gear to donated products and services), industry mentors and employee behind the scenes videos of careers at your office!

Foundations: Our 501c3 is pending and should be complete in the next few months. In the meantime please reach out to us and make us aware of grant opportunities or RFP’s. We have ideas on how your contribution can help us build out more advanced features, content or create more student-driven programming. For example, in our “Teach Me” section we have a need to enhance our mentoring capabilities with a student to mentor, match-making database or you can help build out our online tutor program to assist students with their homework anytime 24/7 online “free to the students”.

Bottom line: We are new, this is a BETA and lots more content, partnerships etc… are to come!
